My summer Make-up- Bronzer

Summer Bronzer :)

Bronzer is a must have for summer, it brightens the complexion, and generally makes you look healthy and bright :)

The two bronzers i am loving right now, are Body Shops Bronzing powder in 01 and Nars Laguna Bronzer

Body Shops Bronzing Powder
My friend had this bronzer first, and we were getting ready for a night out and i used it.
it was love at first sight(!)
it is matte, so your face does not end up looking like a disco ball in the sunshine.. always a plus point! :)
it is the perfect shade for me, as it looks natural on the skin and not so obviously bronzed out.
I love the packaging too, it is a gold mirrored effect ( this carries though most of there cased products, i have a cream foundation that is silver mirrored) no other brand has it, so it is easy to find when i am digging around in my make-up bag.
You also get a lot of product in is, the pan is much bigger than a MAC blush pan and slightly bigger than the bronzing pan..
It contains 11.5g compared to MAC blushes 6g MAC bronzer 10g
The pricing is not cheap per say, it costs £12 from the BodyShop website
MACs cost £16:50
and NARS £22
So it is the cheapest overall, and your getting the most of the money you pay penny/gram.

The Swatch above is the Bronzing Powder, as you can see, there is no shimmer, it is a pure matt bronze.
I either use this on my cheeks and across my nose, to give my skin a natural sun kissed glow using a fluffy face brush as to not deposit too much of a colour concentration.
Or i use it to contour my cheek bones, sadly i was not blessed with Angelina Jolie style bone structure :( so i make do with improv :) [contour and highlight]

NARS Laguna Bronzer
I have heard so much about this on Youtube and Blogs that i had to purchase.
i finally got round to doing so when i was in L.A
We went to this plaza style mall near Hollywood Boulevard.
The Hollywood sign was visible from the shops, which was amazing!
and at this shopping complex there was a Sephora!!
So i decided after waiting so long i would buy the NARS duo in Orgasm and Laguna
(also what is very strange is that we stayed in Laguna Beach while we were there!! :) )
Again you probably have heard so much about this product so i will keep it short and sweet :).

The above swatch is off the blush and bronzer i love both, but this is about the bronzer.
Laguna has a more of a satin, slightly shimmery finish to it, much more so than the BodyShops
i would say much more suitable for a night out or a cloudy day so the sun doesn't highlight the shimmer on your face.

On the Left is Laguna and Right BodyShops Bronzing powder
it is clear too see that they are pretty much close in colour with maybe BodyShops a little mire red toned. and you can see the satin finish to Laguna

Both i would highly recommend :)
as both apply well, have good colour pay off the only difference is the pricing and because of that I would prefer Body Shops (not by much though )

What bronzers are your favourites?
and do you recommend me any?
That would be great help :)

Take Care and have a lovely day!

My summer Make-up- Foundation

Summer Foundation :)
The sun was out this morning and i was in a summery mood, so i thought i would do a Summer Make-up post :)!
In the summer i don't really wear that much make-up, because it always ends up melting off my face... not a good look!
But if i go out and feel the need to look presentable, then these products are what I use.

FACE:
I do suffer from spots, and i also have some scars :(! so i do feel uncomfortable with out any foundation at all, but in the summer, it is way too hot to be apply MACs Studio Fix Foundation, instead my new love is the infamous.....
LAURA MERCIER tinted moisturizer
I actually purchased this beauty at the Calefornias Disney Lands Sephora... oh yes they have a Sephora there! Being from the UK we sadly do not have a Sephora, so i made the most of the ones
in America!
You have probably heard ALOT about think product already, but here are my thoughts :)
I love this tinted moisterizer because typically when we think of a tinted moisturizer we think
of a sheer orangey coverage. This is nothing like that. It actually gives descent coverage enough
for me to feel confident in!
It also contain spf 20! which is essential for the summer! we don't want to be turning
in to wrinkly of grannys anytime soon!
it comes in an oil free version too. I have oily skin and my sister has dry ( i persuaded her to
buy one too) so it is perfect for all skin types.
Those of you with oily skin know how bad tinted moisturisers can look- like a shiny grease
ball- not attractive.
it says it gives "lightweight flawless coverage" which is so true
it leaves skin feeling covered yet hydrated and moisturized, it even protects your skin from the
suns rays! what more could you want?

If i go out and decide not to wear this [it's not as cheap as chips around $42 on the Sephora
website] so it's not something i would wear every day.
A great moisturizer i found is Cliniques Youth Surge
I got this as part of the 2 free samples when i purchased the Anti-Blemish skin care line
(which i do not rate!)
it's only 15ml (the packaging is deceiving and makes it look as if there is a lot more product in
there, it has a shelf about a third of the way down)
This moisturizure is of medium thickness, but goes on the skin nicely, it
is not too oily, but for caution i apply it about an hour before i am leaving the house,
so it has time to sink in.
it leaves my skin so soft, an it also contains and spf of 15.
I used this on the plane coming to and from America, because it is a small ml, it is acceptable
to bring in hand luggage.
It kept my skin hydrated for the 10 or so hours i was on the plane.
So a big thumbs up from me.
:)

Take care and have a lovely day :)

Raspberries

Barry M

Now, i must admit, i am not fully on the the band wagon when it comes to nail polish! i think it takes too much effort for what it's worth, and i always manage to smudge them.
I only o
wn about five nail polishes *ashamed* four from Barry M and One from Nails Inc, which i admittedly got free in a magazine.
But i thought i would do this anyway, :)

i do love this colour, its a reddish pink berry colour. And i
think it is perfect for summer and winter.

Sadly the pictures depict the colour as a bit more of a red tone, but i think you can get idea :)

i am not too good at applying nail varnish so gods gift to me are nail polish remove and the ol' cotton bud (or Q-Tip)
The picture on the left is the "unclean messy
original appliance.

But after a slap dash of cotton bud and polish remover, they don't look half bad ( still not good) [the picture at the top]
i find that these polishes do stain the nail! i once was wearing a green colour, i forgot to remove it, (i am lazy like that :) ) and when i finally did, my nails were stained a greeny yellowy colour, NOT attractive, so i have learnt my lesson. and from now on i use a base and a top coat, i use the 2 in 1 from Barry M, i find that when i do use it, no stains appear after wards, result!

I hope this was of some help, or interest :)

Hello :)!

So college is almost finished!
Exams are over!! :)
That means.... it's summer!!!

I am going to have a lot of spare time this summer; i am not going on holiday because over Easter we spent 3 weeks in California, we spent
time in L.A, Death Valley, Palm Springs and Laguna Beach! [An extended stay due to the ash cloud, I was not complaining!]

So i DO intend to be blogging!

Here aremy Pictures of today!
Sorry it is shocking quality!
my digital camera has been misplaced, so i am making do with the phone camera.

Make-up
I decided to go all out and do a blue winged eye-liner
i don't have one so i improvised. I used a MACs Deep Truth and with MACs 209 liner brush dampen it in water [or you can use fix+] then applied.
Eyes Above, a little Sable in crease (very very little) and
cover girls
Cheeks: MACs Well Dressed (my favourite) and MACs Rhapsody In Two mineralize blush as highlight. NARS Laguna bronzer.

Wearing:
Silky navy
top New Look
with belt (pictured) i got free with a pair of jeans, i love it, it looks quite pricey and have lovely studded details and the horse buckle.
Legging (new look) only pair with out a hole! does any one else find that their leggings always produce holes? unless it's just me..

i hope you have a lovely day, i think i am going to do some shopping later

Hellooo

i thought this picture was adorable :)!

:)

i am sorry that it has been a loooong while :)

but i just haven't really been that interested in doing blog updates, but now, i really want to get into fall swing of things :)

so bare with me :)

I need to update with pictures etc, but sadly somehow, my camera has broken ( the lens is stuck and will not move) so if anyone knows how to fix that can you let me know? :). i also need to jazz this thing up abit, so the sprucing could take a while :)

As christmas is coming up fast :)

i love christmas

my wish list is going to be packed with make-up items, hopefully :)

i have decided that i despiratly need to buy some more MAC products, as at the moment by collection only consists of the Studio Scults Foundation and concealer along with the Skinfinish Natural!

Not impressive at all!

And after long periods of ooling over some wonderful products on YouTube and peoples blogs, i have decided that it is finaly time for some serious purchasing to be done. :)

This is just a random up-date, i realise that i still don't really have that much suscribers but thank you so much for the ones i have at the moment, and so sorry that i have neglected this for as long as i have! i hang my head in shame! :)

Hopefully you will hear alot more from me :)
